TWENTY-ONE POUNDS

A brand new play for Gloucestershire, commissioned by the Everyman Theatre. Based on real-life events, this historical drama – written by local playwright Martin Lytton – follows the story of Hannah, a Gloucestershire slave, and her owners. As they prepare for the abolition of slavery they each find in their own way the real cost of servitude and the true price of freedom.

Performed at TheCheltenham Everyman Studio 24th to 27th May 2017, to sell-out audiences. Then a mini-tour of Gloucestershire.

The audience response has been terrific.

(L to R) Madeleine MacMahon, Etta Fusi and Gregor Hunt
